Cosmetic Ingeridents (Good+Bad)

We all adore the products that make us look beautiful, but are they really good for our overall skincare heath? In this post I will explain to you the different types ingredients and what kind are good for your skin, also I will tech you how to read product labels so you can spot a good product.  The first thing I need to explain to you is the labeling of the ingredients list on the back of the product. When reading the ingredient list you should look at the first ingredient. The first ingredient is the highest amount produced in the product and the most common first ingredient is water, because it a basic base to any liquid product. Though keep in a eye out for the four or five highest ingredients because those are the most active ingredients.

Hydroxy Acids-Hydroxy acids are Organic Ingredients that come for natural substances such as fruits(Malic Acids, Tartaric Acids, and Citrus Acid) Sugar(Glycolic Acids), and Milk(Lactic Acid). These Acids perform as a Exfoliate agent to the skin. The Exfoliates will increase he smoothness, softness, and brightness of the skin. This will improve any dark spots, blemishes, or any other imperfections you may have. Hydoxy Acids are basically a natural microdermabrasion without the tools. So these are good for people with oiliness, or aceneic skin.

Antioxidants-Antioxidants are ingredients used to reduce inflammation/damage to the skin caused by free radicals(Free Radicals are chemically unstable molecules that cause environmental pollutants, and UV exposure which damage the main functions of the skin.) The Antioxidants destroy the free radicals by stabilizing them, then preventing any other damage. Some Antioxidant ingredients derive from Vitamin C(Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbyl Palmitate) Vitamin A(Tretinoin-used in Retin-A) Vitamin E( Tocopherol, Vitamin E Acetate, Alpha Lipoic Acid) So Antioxidants are very essential for everyone's skin health.

Non-Comedogenic- Non-Comedogenic ingredients are ingredients that are less likely to clog you pores. Some examples of Non-Comedogenic include ingredients that are water soluble(Water soluble means you can absorb in water) such as Vitamins and Enzymes. These should be on the top of the ingredients list. Non- Comedogenic are good for people that have larger pores, oily, and have acneic skin.

Enzymes-Enzymes are ingredients that break down keratin build up/dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Enzymes act as an Exfoliate producing softer, and smoother skin. Some Enzyme Ingredients include Papain(Papaya enzyme), and Bromelian(Pineapple Enzyme).  Enzymes are great for any type of skin.

Silicones-Silicones are ingredients that are free of contaminants, and are environmentally friendly. Silicones are a perfect lubricant for body lotions, and primers, because of the protective moisturizing agent it has + it is Non-Comedogenic! Some examples of Silicones include Cyclomethicone(This gives a product a silky feel) Dimethicone(Gives the slip of a product) Dimethicone copolyol(Makes products feel soft especially in sunscreens) So when looking for any makeup primer try to find of with the most of silicone in it.

HARD CANDY NEW NAIL POLISH REVIEW

Yes! another Hard Candy Review. I absolutely love Hard candy Cosmetics. They are always inexpensive and always good quality. So that's why I love blogging about this brand.I saw this new nail polish and I was like OMG there are so many different colors and effects i need to get a few. They were all about $4  at Walmart. Granite it is kinda pricey for a nail polish but trust me they are worth it!

I had gotten all the colors in the picture above. Starting from the left we have (Sweet Tooth,Gummy Green,Cotton Candy Pink,Pink Taffy,Masquerade,Mermaid Magic,Celebrate Sequins,Glitter Jam,Black Tie Optional, and Crush on Lava.)

I got them home and immediately I stated doing swatches. I was really impressed with Sweet Tooth,Gummy Green,Cotton Candy Pink, and Pink Taffy. The First coat went on pretty nice and the second coat really made the final look. Very Gorgeous pastels with a candy resemblance. I loved the other colors too. But the one that really stood out to me was the Black Tie Optional. I applied it over a bare nail and it seriously came out like an ink blot test, and just like the others the second coat made it look amazing!  I would highly recommend these nail polishes if you are looking for a unique and fun colors.

Philosophy Eye shadow Duo i(Heaven/Earth)

Philosophy eye shadow Duo in Heaven&Earth are beautiful earth shades that are great for everyday or even special occasions. The lightest color is called Heaven which is a gorgeous off white color with a metallic shimmer to it. Then the other is called Earth, now earth is a nice light brown and this also has a  slight shimmer to it. I was Shocked at the strong pigment that this product had.

I also love the packaging now just the eye shadow but the overall look of this collection from philosophy. It features a silver mirror like look, its very elegant and sleek. Plus the Eye shadow is so small you can just through it in your purse and have two eye shadows in one.

Kryolan Derma-Color Concealer Wheel

Description from the Kryolan Official Website.
"Kryolan Concealer Wheel with six different shades for covering small discolorations of the skin. This practical packaging is well suited for the professional use. Kryolan Concealer Wheel is available in several color combinations."

When I first tried this product I really liked it. It was very thick in a way it covers blemishes and imperfections, but after using it a while I discovered the undertone that it was making my skin look. My skin has a natural yellow undertone and using this product brought it out more making me look sickly! Then when I used the lighter colors they where too light. So I don`t know if I just had gotten the wrong color but as far as I`m concerned its more of a theater product, So I use it when I`m doing videos or on camera makeup.

This is also a good base to use when applying bright makeup. Just use the lightest shade to the desired area and then PAT the eye shadow into the base and you have a super vibrant look. This is the same concept  you where applying Nyx Jumbo eye pencil in milk as a base.

Loreal Paris Feria Ombre Hair Color Review (Blonde)

Now I have seen the commercial for this ombre hair dye about a month ago and I went to the store and got the lightest shade i could find in the wild ombre. I was kinda skeptical about trying this, just for the fact that I had have streaks in my hair that just turned out to be a golden color instead of a blonde but this had a high bleaching agent so i thought i would make it even lighter than the others i have tried.

So as soon as I got home I took out all the supplies. It was all the usual stuff except for the brush. I didn't know if it would blend well just because the way the described it in the commercial. "How you just brush the ends, and it blends perfectly " :S  Yeah right!

This is what my hair looked like before a very dark blonde, light highlights, and pretty dull.

Then after I took these i put on a shirt I don't care for much and mixed the ingredients,Then I got Started. I combed my hair evenly then took small sections and applied a little bit of product on the brush and then applied mist at the ends and the excess a little higher just to give it the extra blending it needed.

After I was done I timed it for  about 20-25 minutes.

Then I washed it out and blow dried it and It turned out like this! A very nice blonde that just bring out my natural blonde. I would recommend this product for anyone that is afraid of dying they're hair completely just because it just damages the ends and you can just cut is if you do not like it. And remember hair grows back,so try new things with it and see what you like.
