When you Shave your legs, your cutting the hair down to the thickest part of the hair shaft, so when it grows out it appears to look thicker and darker. As of waxing, your pulling the hair from the root which destroys it. Its OK if you destroy the root because what this means throughout time and after annual services, waxing can actually decrease the hair growth cycle which means the hair grows softer, less and lighter than when you began waxing. There are Also lots of precautions you should take afterwards. Such as waiting 24 hr. before you apply makeup or any harsh products on the waxed area. Don`t swim in lakes or oceans after the service to avoid skin rashes and reactions. Also be very cautious about salons. Some do not follow FDA guidelines as to a safe waxing experience. Some salons are not even licensed to provide waxing services, but do not let them wax you if they double dip which means the wax that they used is most likely contaminated with other people. Which can cause rashes and other major diseases. So just be careful when waxing in a low-end salon.



There main 2 types of wax are soft and hard wax.

Hard wax, also called blue wax is often used for small areas since it is easier to remove. Salons likes European Wax Center only use Hard Wax for all their services.The wax is applied in the direction  of hair growth, and is applied very thick. Then it is removed in the opposite direction followed by a simple touch on the waxed area to ease the pain. Here are the supplies you will need if you decide to do the service yourself.

Soft Wax is often used for larger areas like the leg and arms quickly and easily This is applied the same way the hard wax is, except the wax is applied very thin and is to be removed with a wax strip.

  Waxing usually lasts for about 4 to six weeks depending of your hair growth cycle.

Besides from Diamonds, Glitter is a girls best friend. That is, if you know who to work it into your makeup looks. There are many different cosmetic lines that have safe to use glitter such as Mac,Urban Decay, Sugarpill ect. Only glitter that is sold as a cosmetic or is sold in the cosmetic section is in my opinion the only glitter you can be pretty aware of the safety and purpose of the product, but if you buy regular craft glitter from your art supply store .. It is only in tended for craft purposes only! Not for face nor eye contact, because of the consistency and the chemicals/ingredients found in the product. Here is a scenario, What happens if you get a piece of thick glitter,or even small little flake into your eye and it starts to itch and you notice your eye gets bloodshot red? What happens is that using the wrong type of glitter can have harsh features that can irritate, and scratch your eye, or even can cause permanent loss of sight! So just be cautious on how and what kind of glitter you use so you are safe. :)
